On sale from the 20th of March , the new BMW 5 Series is already set to be a leader in its class.
Up against the new Mercedes E-Class and the new Audi A6 facelift as its competition the new 5 series has its work cut out.
Prices will start at £27,555 for the 520d, which is expected the more popular choice by the consumer, although each engine seems to deliver extremely impressive figures across the board.

BMW are offering a wide selection of petrol engines which consist of the 523i which has a starting price of £30, 560, a 528i starting at £32, 205 and a 535i which will start around the high £30,000 mark. There is also going to be a 550i high performance model which has a 4.4 Litre V8 407bhp model at £49, 440 which is said to be quicker than the Mk4 M5.
As well as the extremely impressive engine performance and efficiency the new 5 series range has an extensive array of gadgets. Each model has the options of automatic parking, where the car measures the size of the parking space and manoeuvres itself into a parked positions with the driver only having to control the brakes.
The 360 degree camera technology has been lifted off the 7 series to give the driver a better view when parking or at a blind junction, and 4 wheel drive steering which has decreased the turning circle by half a meter.
BMW have also put gear change indicators into the 5 series to help to gain a smoother more efficient driver alongside regenerative braking which charges the battery from the energy produced when applying the brakes.
Standard features on the new BMW 5 series are a step up from its rivals with leather, Air conditioning, Bluetooth, professional radio, USB audio as standard as well as a 6 speed manual gearbox in all manuals.
The New 5 series has achieved efficiency with power and luxury and seems set to enter the car market a big impact on the 20th of March.
