Meet the Team - Part Four

Once again we have our 'Meet the Team' feature with the forth member on the chair Mrs Michelle Lammas, Administration Manager at Sinclair Finance & Leasing.  We asked Michelle the same 10 questions as previously asked and here is what she said:

1.  What is your favourite type of TV programme?

"Soaps, Soaps and more Soaps" (lol - I have to admit I love them too!)

2.  What hobbies do you have?

"I pretend to like exercise, although I haven't got a lot of free time these days as I have two little girls who keep me very occupied" (Oh bet they are worth every minute of your time though)

3.  What was the first car you had?

"Escort MK2 1300 Sport - It was bright green but I loved it" (Wow that's everyone in the chair so far having an escort as their first car)

Future Volkswagen Camper Van maybe?

From just browsing though YouTube, I found this cool version of a future Volkswagen Camper Van concept - could this be the next generation? - Is this the way Volkswagen is heading? 

Amazing if it is, do you think you would want one?

Introducing the Passat R Line

In enhancement to the S trim, the new R Line Passat offers over £2400 worth of styling and features for only a mear £600 extra.

This new trim level which has been added to the popular Volkswagen passat range will be available in both Saloon and Estate versions.  It definitely looks the part with sports-style bodykit and matching chrome louvres and grille, not to mention the 17-inch five-spoke Monte Carlo alloy wheels, which were previously fitted to the Sport version.

Reduce CO2 with leased vehicles

It seems that leased vehicles are leading the way for greener motoring - with average CO2 emissions of 149.9g/km on leased vehicles last year compared to 158.4g/km on company cars that were sold. 

Thats a massive 8.5g/km difference  - proving that by leasing vehicles through leasing companies such as sinclair finance & leasing, you are striving more towards a greener environment and more fuel efficient motoring.

Sinclair Direct Move from Newport

Yes the time has now come for Sinclair Direct to move from their temporary second site at Newport.

With the recent Sinclair takeover of Volkswagen Cardiff and Newport, Corporation Road proves the perfect site for a New Volkswagen Dealership - with ample show room and office space, the site once branded to Volkswagen taste will prove much suited to a main dealer.

So we say farewell to Sinclair Direct Newport...but welcome Sinclair Volkswagen to Corporation Road, Newport.

The move is due to take effect from the 15th June 2009 - so please keep posted!

Sinclair Van Centres Support the Scrappage Scheme

The 2009 budget reviews confirmed that a £2000 Government Scrappage Scheme would be implemented on all vehicles over ten years old, when traded in for a new vehicle.  Running from 18th May 2009 until March 2010. 

We are pleased to confirm that this not only applies to cars but light commercial vehicles to!

Meet the Team - Part Three

Once again we have our 'Meet the Team' feature with the third member on the chair being one of our Fleet Sales Executives at Sinclair Finance & Leasing - Mr Thomas Jenkins.  We asked Thomas the same 10 questions as previously asked to Peter and Kerry and here is what he said:

1.  What is your favourite type of TV programme?

"Grand Designs, Scrum V, Ski Sunday and whatever is on Sky Sports" (Typical Male then)

2.  What hobbies do you have?

"Gym, Rugby, Football, Skiing, Socialising, Mario Kart on the Wii - addictive!! Also enjoy growing veg in my garden - best spuds in town!" (Wow your a busy bee then Thomas)

3.  What was the first car you had?

"Ford Escort 1.6i Si 5dr - only had it 4 weeks from new and bumped it - not my fault though!" (yes Thomas thats what they all say)

4.  What is the last book you read?

"Jenny McCarthy - Belly Laughs: The naked Truth About Pregnancy and Childbirth" (Is there soemthing your not telling us Thomas? haha) - "Ha, no I am not pregnant but my wife is and Baby Jenkins is due with us the end of June so I have been researching!" (Oh how sweet!)

Company Car Drivers Hit in 2009 Budget

Changes announced in the 2009 Budget on the banding of company car tax could mean a cost of up to £85 million a year for company car drivers.

This change has been justified under the 'Green banner' irrelevant of the increase in revenue - The Chancellor announced the changes are designed to encourage drivers to transfer to lower emitting cars, however this move has been decribed as a 'stealth tax' on company drivers
